This gives proper context to the protests that are happening right now in the US. I had encountered the term social contract when I was in college and that time I had taken for granted that it was the ideal that we all ‘automatically’ prescribe to, and ensures that all will be treated fairly and equally; not considering that we all have differing views on what is fair and just… or true.
There is so much that we can reflect and realize from what is happening. After we are done with all the thinking though, let’s all do our part to help society be fair and just to those who are disenfranchised because that’s the only way for all of us to move forward as a species.
